Q. WHAT IS A FRONT ROLL CENTER
The front roll center is a geometric point in a double-A arm suspension that is located by using the angles of the upper and lower control arms. Some individuals have drawn out the suspensions on their cars to find the roll center location, but it is much faster and a whole lot easier to use a computer program. And, we need to know where the front roll center moves to while the car is in the turns. We know the roll center moves after dive and roll. The roll center location is the most important factor in determining how the front end will work as the car goes through the turns.
Q. WHY DO I NEED TO KNOW WHERE MY FRONT ROLL CENTER IS LOCATED
The front roll center location determines how the weight transfers in the front end of the car and how much the cambers will change for the left front and right front wheels. Adverse weight transfer or camber change characteristics can be a major problem causing the car to push in the middle of the turns. Each race car requires a certain roll center location based on the type of racing (dirt or asphalt) and what kind of race track (banking angle and surface conditions) in order for the tires to perform the best. The front end will never work to its maximum capacity unless the roll center is located in the right place.
Q. WHAT WILL ROLL CENTER SOFTWARE DO FOR ME

A good program should tell us where the roll center is located at ride height and also where it moves to in the middle of the turns.
